May 2nd Meeting

The club will be meeting next at 7 PM Wednesday May 2 in the Thunder Mountain H. S. Library for our final indoor meeting of the year.

Mark Hieronymus will present "Flyfishing the Tongass: Angling and Conservation Opportunities on the Tongass National Forest". He will talk about gear, techniques, run timing, fly selection, and presentation methods for the "Big 3" sport-fish of the Tongass: Dollies, Cohos, and Steelhead. Also included is an introduction to Trout Unlimited's watershed-scale conservation proposal, "the Tongass 77". Questions after the video presentation.

Mark is the Sportfish Outreach Coordinator for Trout Unlimited, Alaska Program and a guide for Bear Creek Outfitters. He is also the Regional Pro staff for Echo Flyfishing and AirFlo Flylines, as well as a Simms fishing products Guide Ambassador.

Obviously Mark is a big hitter and this should be an excellent presentation. Bring questions -this is a great opportunity You may also recognize him as the very proficient Spey Casting instructor in past year Twin Lakes Casting Evening. He will be teaching Spey Casting during this year's event on May 16 as well.
